Government of Canada Information on visiting Canada on business

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) International Events and
Convention Services Program (IECSP) has officially recognised the ISAE 2018 Congress.
To facilitate Canadian border procedures it is recommended that participants present a copy of the official letter of recognition provided by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) – International Events and Convention Services Program (IECSP) to a CBSA Border Services Officer upon their arrival to Canada.

The ISAE 2018 Congress has been registered with The Special Events Unit of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
If you require a visa we strongly advise that after registering for the Congress you request a “letter of invitation” to the Congress. The letter of invitation will contain The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’ Special Event Code for the Congress. The “letter of invitation” will facilitate your entry into Canada and the processing of visa applications. The Special Events Unit of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canadian Border Services Agency will have access to a copy of the format of the letter of invitation. The “letter of invitation” will also facilitate the processing of visa applications.

Submission of Visa Applications:

Canada does not have a visa office in every country so it is important that delegates visit the website of the visa office responsible for processing their visa applications.  Information is available on the IRCC website on how to submit a visa application and the documentation required.

Delegates are encouraged to submit their visa applications well in advance of the date of the event.

Please visit the IRCC website for information on the time it takes to process visa applications at the various visa offices.

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Visa-exempt foreign nationals are expected to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens, and travellers with a valid Canadian visa.
